Dealing with MCQ’s

These types of answers come from questions called ‘Multiple Choice Questions’. You will be given multiple choices to answer the question with. Only one of the answers is correct.
The information in any of the choices MAY be used somewhere in the audio in a way that is not relevant to this particular question.
You can try and identify words from the stem of the questions to help identify what you need to listen for.
Look at the two questions above.
For question 9, you could say that ‘type’ and ‘insurance’ are keywords in the stem. You can use these to identify where in the audio you are probably getting the answer to this question.

Just because the word is in the answer, it does NOT mean it will be in the audio clip! You must learn common synonyms (similar words) and phrases as it may be that the information you are given is worded/phrased differently to the answer on your sheet.

It may be that in some multiple choice questions, you will hear ALL of the options given in the answer. You will need to pay attention and decide which one is correct.
