Types of questions.
We are introducing a new question type in this lesson.
There are a variety of different question types that may be used in your test. They will be randomly chosen so you could get a mix of any of the questions but will not get ALL types of questions. You need to be prepared for any type of question to help you succeed in the IELTS exam.
Each part of the 4 listening tests are comprised of the following:
| Test Part | Number of Speakers | Themes | Possible question types |

| 1 | 2 | Social/Everyday | Multiple Choice, Matching, Plan/Map/Diagram Labelling, Form/Note/Table/Flowchart/Summary Completion, Sentence Completion, Short Answer questions. |
| 2 | 1 | Social/Everyday | |
| 3 | 2-4 | Academic | |
| 4 | 1 | academic |
How is Part 2 relevant to life/work in an English-speaking country?
Each part of the test is designed to make sure you are able to deal with the challenges that you can face in a new country. The aim is to teach you basic survival skils such as understanding information when you are receiving information, such as when booking tickets, or booking a table at a restaurant.
Remember: In note completion tasks all answers are in sequential order. Language around the answers may be paraphrased. Answers will always be short. A few words or phrase. Never complete sentences.
