Preparing for note taking questions
Lets review the note taking questions:

Remember: as in any question, the information may come paraphrased. Build your knowledge of paraphrases and synonyms
Read the following extracts and match with the appropriate part of the note
completion tasks in the sheet above. (Days held, Types of event, Venue, Duties)
a “So, to give you some idea of what’s on, and to help you choose from
the many possibilities, we’ve made a selection of the main
attractions….”
Answer
This is linked to ‘Types of events’. Events can be a synonym for ‘attractions’. So in this example, the answer for the ‘types of events’ questions would come after this sentence.
b “We’re expecting to see something in the region of a thousand visitors
over the course of the weekend…”
Answer
Days Held. Although not mentioning saturday or sunday exactly, the answer is given by mentioning that the festival takes place over Saturday and Sunday. (the ‘weekend’)
c “Responsibilities for volunteer staff include….”
Answers
This is linked to ‘duties;. A synonym for responsibilities.
d “The local Council has kindly offered us many locations for free…”

This is related to the ‘Venue’ section of the answers. Location and venue can both be used here.
